About Halo 5 (reply)

Anyone get the xbone elite controller? (reply)

I've held one and they're amazing. Don't expect cross-platform compatibility ever, but a boy can dream.

You can always get one of these: http://cronusmax.com/cronusmax-plus/

Not quite the same, but I think it may even work with the levers since the configuration is IN the Elite controller.

About Halo 5 (reply)

It would be nice if you could assign a macro so you could use a single button for using supers. I understand that would give an unfair advantage in general to be able to use macros. I think with some advanced mapping you could achieve a normal layout with a one button super on a paddle.

I thought that "Jumper" in Destiny moves your super to X

I know one of the configurations does. After playing Destiny for some stupid amount of hours I don't want to relearn a new set up on the main buttons. I could do some remapping to make the jumper setup mapped like a regular scheme and then move the super button to a lever. Hope that makes sense.

Important note RE: accidental deletions (reply)

If you're going to put X on a paddle, I recommend putting it on one of the shorter paddles, they don't ever get activated when you set the controller down. I actually only use the shorter paddles because I couldn't get used to the grip on the controller using all 4 paddles.

I've got it (reply)

If you have one, what are your thoughts on it? What type of setup on the back buttons are you using?

My first thoughts are that the build quality is absolutely amazing. The heft and general feel of the controller is probably one of the best I have used hands down. I'm still playing around with some configurations, but I have found that I really like the domed thumbsticks and the trigger stop on RT.

I'm still getting used to the buttons on the underside. I'm currently trying to figure out which, and how many buttons I want to use down there. I'm playing with Jump, Run, Crouch/Slide, Reload on the lower levers. I have found I like have run on the upper left lever and jump on the upper right lever. I have slide/crouch mapped to the lower right lever and reload on lower left.

For the most part, the levers are fun to use. I'm trying to get used to having something down there which is causing me to change my grip slightly. I could see myself removing two of them while playing Destiny to simplify things a little.

The only negatives I have found so far are that the levers are highly sensitive and can somewhat get in the way with how I previously held controllers. Other than that, I love it.

The xbox accessories app that lets you configure and load different combinations is pretty simple and highly effective.
