That's actually in Kentucky.

I wouldn't advise running after those engrams. There was a guy launching flares out on the range during the day. It was fun watching the tracers turn and focus on that flare as it bounced along.

I can't disagree with that. If it's true, that is pretty shitty. Paying for Destiny's notoriously awful RNG is just cruel.

We already did in order to play Destiny in the first place. (I agree that this prospect is bad but I think it's funny that you said it like that.)

Well yeah, like I said - it's cosmetic. The issue isnt paying for cosmetic items. I'm not keen on microtransactions, but if you want to buy a hat you should be able to buy a hat.

The problem is paying for a chance at cosmetic items. Welcome to the casino.

I feel like if someone spends their money on that, it serves them right. I still fully agree with you that if someone wants to blow their cash on a hat that doesn't exist, then sure, whatever. But to pay for the potential chance to maybe sorta RNG your way to it? Well that's just stupid and consumer-hostile on Bungie's part, and just as stupid if someone pays for the attempt. In my opinion.

I can't tell what's worse, spending money on Bungie's microtransactions, or Halo 5. I can't wait for Fallout 4 for a nice change of pace. :D

My nephew did something unthinkable with his Kindle fire, apparently. My parents didn't tell me what it was, but the Kindle was taken away, and he has been grounded from the internet for 6 months now.

I ASSUME he went and spent $2000 on micro transactions on his stupid games. Of course my parents are stupid for not disabling that. They should have made him work it off.

I never liked that my parents didn't trust me with things, but if I ever hand a kid something that is linked to ANY account I have ANYWHERE, that thing is getting locked the down like Fort Knox.

It's ridiculous how some have responded to this, though. $20 was just over the top expensive and a rip off for The Dark Below or House of Wolves, apparently, but throw out some seven dollar emotes and people shit themselves and can't spend money fast enough . . .

This is the scary part about micro-transactions. It's sticker shock vs non-sticker shock. a few bucks here and there doesn't break the budget. But unplanned, $20 is enough to make you think twice.
