Void + Arc is totally doable, though.

Last time I tried (Arc only, IIRC), the Solar dude got stuck in his room and never came out. Couldn't even shoot out. Easiest sword run ever, that one.

This seems to happen about 50% of the time (I've now completed 3 sword runs for other people, plus the many wipes), but you can lure him out. I've never actually had him be unkillable as a result of the weird sticking behavior (probably a bug).

The key for us was to identify whomever the arc knight was chasing, and have that guy just do nothing but kite until Mr. Arc switched targets. The other two guys kill all adds and then occasionally shoot the boss. Once the boss has a level of health which we call "the final triangle" you're safe to nuke down the two knights and then (hopefully) the boss. I highly suggest saving a shadow shot to fire at the boss as soon as the second knight dies (kill the knights at the same time so you don't waste any time - they die pretty quickly to a like-element sword).

Maybe, I'm planning on running the exotic sword strike first though. Throw up a fireteam builder.

Just out of curiosity... what sword are you going for?

(We tried last night - came really close twice, but took too long between warden and Alak-Hul... 45 seconds the first time, about a minute the second. It's TOUGH.)

We've got two people - void and arc at the moment. (We're not crazy enough to try and do them simultaneously - we were planning on running them consecutively, but gave up after 3 tries at void.)

Are you not widdling Alak-Hul down first? We basically got him to the point where you can sneeze on him, then kill the knight, then sneeze on Alak-Hul.

We did the first time. Unfortunately, we did the same for the knight (mostly by accident) - and we sneezed on him without noticing. By the time we realized he was dead, it was too late.

The second time, we made an effort to keep more health on the knight until the end, and accidentally transferred that care over to Alak-Hul - we left him with somewhere between 5-10%, which was just too much to burn after the knight went down.

It's one thing to say "leave only a sliver of health, then stop shooting" when you're fighting one guy... it's another thing when you're surrounded by adds, totally in the dark, and on the precipice of death for a 10-minute stretch. :)

We'll get it eventually, I suppose - but it's one of the harder fights I've had to do, and not just because you're getting pounded. (Plus, you're fighting 300 light guys - and all of us were in the 290s, one a 293.)
