My guess is that the change was in the works but not ready when they posted. It just slipped out early. It does make NBP worth wearing now.

It was weird. The last patch mentioned the change then they edited it to say they worked like the 1.0 version but just lasted longer. Now they do the shotgun thing again??

This sounds pretty amazing. I'll have to come up with a build once I obtain the Y2 version.

My understanding was that the Y2 version was supposed to do the shotgun thing from the beginning. I think it was just broken until this recent patch, right?

I may use my titan for that. (reply)

With the update yesterday, No Backup Plans gives force barrier whenever you get a shotgun kill while your melee is full. The kill uses your melee. I tried it out this morning with Monte Carlo and it was amazing.

By alternating between Monte Carlo and my Immobius I could keep a unlimited recharging force barrier going. Plus I had Armor of Light on, so I had plenty of damage resistance inside the bubble and still had a shield outside.

I summoned a Taken ultra in Rocketyard and sat right under him with multiple taken capitans. They couldn't kill me. It was great. These gloves finally have given me the tank build I wanted for the Titan. Now I just need to pick up the void armor chest from Dead Orbit.
