Heh - I was one of the people who got sad when the roaming Blades of Crota went away, and you had to run the beginning of Fist of Crota three times to finish the bounty. It was WAY faster after the change - but less fun. Mostly because waiting around for one to show up gave you time to screw around in patrol.

I have a solution: load up patrol and screw around in patrol. Then Kill the knight. Repeat.

The ironic thing is public events are more of a 'do them while you are doing something else and they pop up' events than looking for chests :-p

And they should be. But Bungie's quest design cuts against that scenario when they put in hidden timers, unspecified delays, and missions that are only available for a limited time.

For all anybody knew, maybe the next phase of SS would not be available until much later unless the warsats were done before the next reset.

My concern about the grind was not for me, the problem was that Sammy was going to bed early, and didn't want to play. I was worried that she would lose patience and give up if it took too long to find a Warsat. This was before I realized that the Firewall mission is the only time-sensitive portion.

As soon as I was done with it, I hopped right on Xbox to do it all there stress-free, but unfortunately I didn't qualify, so I said "oh well" and had fun helping Speed with what he needed instead. Delayed rewards ;)

But yeah, I wouldn't have minded waddling around for Warsats, and heck, I haven't even done the mission to grab the weapon yet, because I don't mind waiting until Sammy gets home to run it with her. Delayed rewards. ;)

They can be, and it can be backwards too. I usually grab a Patrol right before I hop into one, and knock out two birds with one stone.

Trying to complete the thing with the warsats from yesterday and 6 events in a row were either targets or extraction crews. I know it's random but I don't have all day to play so I use destinypublicevents.com and it feels like they made warsat events WAY less frequent. Argh!

Took us under fifteen minutes for the entire thing:

Mothyards event started the second we entered the area.

We went to the Moon, and waited about five minutes (doing the Target and Devil Walker events in that timeframe), and had four other Randoms help us complete it on Archer's Line.

Hurried off to Mars, where the Tracker listed the Scablands event at -5 minutes, found it at 51% complete when we got there.
What's funny is that two of the guys there also completed it as their third (notifications of the core popped up).
