Side note: is there a way to the templar's well from the first memory fragment location?? We tried to get there but kept "falling" on ledges we thought were paths. We finally had to resort to sending one person for the memory and one person down the "regular" path to the Well, then pulling the first person along. Seemed unnecessarily cheesy.

I never really explored the Trials of Kabr alternate path before today. I definitely backtracked more than few times, and I tried dying outside of a darkness zone to reset myself on the main path without luck too.

The alternate path through Trials of Kabr is platforming heavy and you often need to jump on what appears to be a dead end platform to see the continuation of the path. It drops you out really high to the right (while facing the Templar's Well) of the platform (Templar sniping cheese location). Basically follow anything that looks like platform that is above the open chasm, you'll eventually get to corridor leading to the Well.
