I am in the boat of "microtransactions are probably good for games" but damn, I'm really disappointed in everyone talking trash to other people who aren't in that boat. Get over yourselves, please. People have opinions about the game and should feel comfortable voicing them without fear of personal reprisals. Can we all keep our comments to the game instead of individuals' characters?

If these are actually some inside jokes I'm not privy to, please explain. Right now I feel like I'm reading the bungie.net forums.

I have way more fun playing Destiny than posting at DBO. Even playing Destiny with people from DBO, immediately after bickering with them at DBO. Nothing like a little raiding to put these threads in perspective.

Annoyingly, the people who don't care aren't going to post "I don't have strong feelings on this matter," or "meh".

I mean, I did, but normal people aren't.

And the people who do have strong feelings are falling into camp hyperbole we've been seeing a lot of on the forums lately. It's a trend in (at least) online gaming chat. You've done it too. I'm usually of the " He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone" attitude, but we should be reminded of this regularly.

Eventually, if we become hypocritical enough in consistent shaming of this attitude we ourselves possess, we may modify our behaviour accordingly and make the forum a better place.
