XP is working exactly as it did the day before yesterday - not increasing your level cap, but definitely increasing your weapons and armor. I'm not really sure what the problem is (other than the idea that if they'd waited until next week to make the quests live, you'd actually build XP for your character with them).

The simple solution, I guess, is if that XP matters to you, hold off on the quests until next week. :)

Well, the level 34 cap doesn't lift until Taken King goes live next week... that may be the issue.

-- Steve's not sure if the XP earned now are being held until the 15th or are just vanishing; won't stop him from playing, though.

Yes, I saw that, but I can also believe that whatever mechanism is tracking XP earned is working, even if that XP isn't accumulating. So when you do 10K worth of activities, the Deathless bounty triggers, but since I'm not seeing that level bar move, I'm not convinced the game is keeping track of the aggregate XP I've earned over level 34.

New Patrols are not currently granting rewards in Update 2.0. Enjoy them for now, but they won't pay out until 09/15.

I got two "levels" at 34, each time getting 3 motes of light. I think if you're at the cap then you don't see it go up, but it's still accruing. I think this is due to 34 being a soft cap until next week -- I expect that at lvl 40 you'll see the expected behavior.

I hope so. It seems like these early quests and stuff are lost opportunities for XP to earn towards 40 if I do them now when they're not visually accruing instead of waiting until after TTK drops.

Is it me, or are no activities-- bounties, abandoned quests, new quests-- not granting any XP at all?
