The best defense from shotgun blinking is to slide into them as they jump. They will overshoot and you can turn and fire or just keep running.

As far as the nerf goes, they will probably increase the cooldown after the 2nd blink. That won't fix things for those who get hit by the first one.

I just got Blinked and Party Crasher-ed to hell and back. Just about decided to kick in my 360. Has Bungie said anymore about nerfing this game breaking ability. (Anybody coming in to tell me just to dodge or whatever please preemptively GTFO.)
