You may have noticed less vitriol and fewer rants around here lately. It's because I haven't been posting. The fact of the matter is that I've only played 3 crucible games in the last 3 weeks and I've no desire to go back to Destiny. So I bid you all a fond adieu; the DBO community is great and you guys are all great people. I truly enjoy the discussions here.

I shan't see you in TTK, either - the ship has sailed for me. I'm not going to bother everyone with why the gleam is off the cube here. Suffice to say I may lurk from time to time simply to hear what everyone thinks, and to garner a sense of the game's current state, but my actual playtime will certainly be spent elsewhere. As Durandal said, "I will be watching everything." There are far too many other worlds to explore, and far too few hours left in the days ahead.

Here's hoping that the future brings us back to the glory days of Bungie gaming, with theater mode, the Forge, custom games, incredible plots, strong characters, witty humor, and adventures on a truly epic scale.

It's my first and longest stop online, whether or not I'm currently playing Destiny. I think Bungie has a pretty good idea of where they should go from here - I've got pretty high hopes for D2 when it comes.

Be aware that you don't need to buy into a game hook line and sinker to be a fan of a developer and a community. I feel bad when Bungie fans "quit." You can be a fan in moderation. You can only play what is fun. I have not liked the 343 Halo games that much, but I do like 343. You can tell they're trying. I will never NOT give a Halo game a fair shake because of how much I liked the first two.

If you have $40 burning a hole in your pocket, remember The Taken King and come by again.

PS. The vitriol was covered by Morpheus. Man, he did a hell of a flame post. One of the most thorough I've ever seen. For such a nice guy he sure got mean that time.

I'm still a fan of Bungie! I'm just done playing Destiny. The things that make it no longer fun for me (and it was fun for a good while there) are pretty fundamental to the design of the game, so I'm probably not going to come back to TTK, but I may return for Destiny 2. Only time will tell...
