Even Ascended, 3 captains would take 15+ Rounds with Found Verdict IIRC. I'm not sure either weapon is particularly practical for that.

What Fourth Horseman can do in that scenario - that a Found Zverdict cannot - is melt the level 35 major Captain in less than two seconds (literally). You can jump in, destroy one Captain, and reload while you jump away for a couple seconds before repeating on the other Captains. In short, Fourth Horseman will absolutely kill all three captains quicker than Foumd Verdict would, even with it's shorter range and longer reload time.

In my experience you either die because you got so close, or you die when you are reloading like a snail on tranquilizers. I'm not denying it has great burst damage power. It has a lot of that. But all round I simply prefer found verdict.

Nah, with specialist (which is round 4) it takes considerably less (half if I'm remembering the modifier correctly). Still have no idea how it compares since I mainly play on XBox.

Name one situation in which Found Verdict is practical but Fourth Horseman isn't!?

Killing a group of three captains in PoE level 35, round 4. Found Verdict does it faster and from greater range overall. 4th horseman reloads too slow and has shit range. You are mad vulnerable when you use it, especially against multiple targets.

This is correct. Shotguns are as such that the element doesn't really matter so much since they do so much damage. Found Verdict is just so good all around, you can take out anything. I use it over sword breaker on Praetorians even though it's the wrong element.
