I used Suros extensively during Crota Hard Mode. Just fire a few shots at a knight and tick tick tick there's my health back. No need to kill. Of note: Only the bottom half of the magazine can regen health, afaik.

Watch triple kill starting at 1:05. One of the bullets near when 11 are left in the clip seems to trigger regen.
There doesn't appear to be any on screen notification. Will test later as well.

The Suros Regime Challenge

The Suros Regime perk says: "The bottom half of each magazine deals bonus damage and has a chance to return health when dealing damage." I don't think the second part is true. I have never seen my Suros kick off health regeneration with anything other than a kill. Today I used it to take down both Sepkis Prime and Phogoth and never once saw any health regen. And yet some have said it really does do what the perk says, that it really can give health back when merely dealing damage instead of after a kill.

So here's the challenge. Can anyone find (or make) a video definitively showing the Suros Regime giving health back without killing a target? Not exactly The Impossible Challenge, but, if I'm right, this one is actually harder! :)
