We tried it at POE with 2 and it was ok till we got to the boss round a third would have made it much less painful. I think Bones eventually joined us and helped us a couple weeks ago but I haven't played since. I know I need to get some more games in absolutely.

I won't be back on till Thursday night but I am hopeful that this week I can tackle it and not get too discouraged. Nightfall will be first on my checklist but after that I am free for whatever.

The 3 person thing is silly. I still maintain that it should be 4 people for activities like that.

You could argue that those are "hell to go through" alone, I guess, but Destiny has never been meant for truly solo players.

I AM NOT doing that with my other classes. Two each then. Six is still not a lot.

We typically don't have a 3rd to run with to do anything higher than 28. I'm really not a fan of Bungie's "rule of 3".

We did a lvl 32 once though, it was nice...

I've only got one EL, from a nightfall. I'm betting there won't be any substantial new Destiny content until September. If that is true, I really don't see the point in trying to rush to the new level cap.

I learned my lesson on that last time. Shit gets boring, quick.

I see you and Jackie doing Nightfalls together pretty much every week. I'm going to start being much less hesitant to just join your fireteam without asking, and then pressure you to do some PoE or Trials.

Considering how much at least one of my regular crew dies during our PoE runs, I think it might be entirely possible to run them with just 2. :p

I ran the 32 last week in a fireteam of two - it went well until the final boss, but between the mobs, the eye and the boss we weren't making much headway. After several wipes we brought in a third for the kill (and at that point we just burned him down with ~25 Gjallarhorn shots with weapon bubbles left and right for cover).

Munky was a champ and waited for me in the tower and refused to allow Lord Salad leave of the place. It's really too bad I didn't make it, so very very close. His waiting would have paid off (for me). Thanks Munky!

In any case, PoE runs are long enough to justify FTB events. I recommend.

I tried getting to 3 in IB to be able to buy just 1 but wasn't able to play last night. It's so frustrating this quest for Etheric Light.

I actually DID get my alt up to 3 last night, but before I could go to the Tower and get my hard-earned Etheric Light my ISP decided it would be a good time to do maintenance on my service. Rebooted the Xbox, router, modem...nothing. I was cut off and couldn't get back on before the reset.

Don't know if this is an option for you, but Destiny is playable over a 4G LTE connection. If you have a phone with mobile hotspot, you can play Destiny.

I completed my very first Atheon kill last fall while tethered to my phone.

That's not currently an option for me, but good to know! I will jot that down for future reference.

That said, 1 for Rank 3 and 2 more for Rank 5 would have been nice for those players who haven't been able to use the other avenues yet.

I bought three (two for my main and one more with my alt last night). The glimmer farming had the greatest potential for being drudgery.

All in all, I had a good time with Iron Banner, better than I ever have playing regular Crucible. I had plenty of lousy games, but some great games, too. For the first time I was in first place for several (unfortunately, I usually didn't win those), and I had one game with 28 kills, which is pretty astounding for me.

I'm glad it's over, but I look forward to the next one. My regret is that I skipped it until the last two.
