This is why I love Iron Banner most of the time:

Gjally + Legendary scout rifle in the same endmatch drop, on a really laggy nail-in-the-coffin.. and on my least-used character, for that matter. Level 31 amidst level 34s.. altho with ascended ice breaker and ascended timur's lash with luck/chamber + explosive rounds :-3

All of the PvE zones are hosted by dedicated servers.

Just the scripting, not the physics. Players still host that.

I know there's no dedicated servers, but the problems seem really widespread this week. Can't all be on the users end, surely?

All of the PvE zones are hosted by dedicated servers. How hard is it to make some of those into PvP dedicated hosts instead? It's the same number of players, they're just involved in different activities.

The lag is far more frustrating to me than the losing. If I lose to a team that beat me with skill, I feel like "good game guys. Damn you've got skills." If I lose because my golden gun doesn't deal any damage and I get shotgunned through walls all day, I feel like "F this game." And the lag is always worse during Iron Banner.

Yeah, things were really rough last night. Not sure how many times I would shoot people and have absolutely zero damage register. unload a full clip of TLW into a guy rushing straight at me and the die to one punch. Talk about infuriating.

Hopefully they will bring the new ToO system to Iron Banner next time. Then at least I can die because of skill level instead of a glitchy system.

i find this to be true. I think it has to do with getting paired with higher level opponents when I team up.

That being said, prioritizing connection like they do in ToO should have been added to IB this time around. I think unoudid brought that point up last night.

hahahaha its the total opposite for me. I do better when I have a talking team. Morale boost

I enjoy playing with friends more in a lot of ways, but when I play solo every third game or so I do pretty well, decent stats, upper half of the team. That doesn't happen with DBOers. :(

Had a great time even with the weirdness.

Was reminiscent of our past attempts at VoG hard, except we did it!

(Got some armor I haven't gotten, but none of the big three--Fatebringer, Gjallerhorn, or Vex, but that's okay--my 365 Thunderlord thundered last night.)

Could it have something to do with much larger player populations in crucible compared to an average week?

If there are more players, games should be LESS likely to lag, since the game has a wider selection of low-ping clients to match you with.
