I got that Arc Jewel of Osiris TWICE lol. If my next flawless run gives me a 3rd, I might have to quit Destiny lol

You're not alone. I now have two copies of the Arc Scholar scout rifle. Looks like there's no "smart loot" on the Lighthouse chest.

I just took my Shadow Price out of the vault recently, for the first time since TDB came out. I'd forgotten what a murder machine that thing is. Really looking forward to being able to ascend it.

This is partially what fuels my lack of enthusiasm for Destiny's end-game activites. If Bungie wants me to run these brutal challenges that are fun maybe 30% of the time[/b], they have to make it worth my while- no more of this RNG Loot BS. At all.

I completely agree, the RNG based loot on its own is not enough to make any end game activities worthwhile. Personally, I really enjoy Trials of Osiris. I would have fun playing it even if no loot was on the line. But if I wasn't having fun, the stress and potential frustration would be tough to get over.

I got an Up for Anything with counterbalance, hammer forged, and third eye right before HoW dropped. It's decent in crucible.

I also got a Pest Control Matrix with crowd control, extended mag, and third eye. I haven't tried it out much.

A couple of days ago I used a treasure key and got Her Right Hand with focus fire, extended mag, and third eye. Haven't tried it either.

I figure between those three I might find an auto rifle that's useful in crucible. It's going to be hard to top my favorite hand cannons and pulse rifles though.

I try new auto rifles now and then and nothing seems to be able to beat Shadow Price for effectiveness with my play-style and sheer enjoyability, even Suros Regime only about matches it (though it's not upgraded that much still).

1st world problems yo. Run nightfall every week, but only want one thing. Even otherwise great drops are disappointments.

I kind of wish there was a permanent store will all exotics sold, but for a hefty price. Any one you want, 300 coins. That way you can complete what RNG doesn't give you. OR bounties for every exotic. You know.

RNG loot needs to be even smarter. If you have something, it should not give you the same thing. That is a realistic improvement in my eyes.

Scan the inventory and vault, and if it exists then roll another drop. Maybe even a feedback system of sorts, where you thumbs up or thumbs down a drop so the game learns what you want. Maybe have a user option for that to be turned off just in case there's unintended consequences.

I went to my Solar Summoner for the nightfall actually. It rips through shanks and their shields. It's basically like having a slightly worse Mythoclast, while being able to keep the exotic slot open for Thunderlord.

Between your solar summoner and Cyber's solar jewel of osiris, I'm all kinds of jelly. Sounds great!

I also have a Void Summoner :p
