This is a huge complaint of mine. The basic ships that they give you are so mind numbingly dull and boring it's sad.

I have kept the same ship since I got it twords the beginning because what's the point. They all look the same to me.

The same with Sparrows, I wish different models would at least have different choices like a racing boost, a gun attached, different trick modes, a flamethrower something........just having a different color, and a colored trail isn't enough.

I think if DO had a representative with the same amount of charisma as the other faction leaders, they would be more appealing. That Arach Jalaal guy is just creepy.

Dead Orbit is creepy! The put people in some kind of weird machine that gives glimpses of the future... or something... unless it renders them catatonic or deranged!

That dev kit setup is really clever, allowing for guarantees that items fit into Poly budgets, and it makes sense for armor. But why do all spaceships have two wings, one front pod, a middle box, and an engine/back pod? It seems to me that they designed the ships to have fixed locations for connecting each element, which means the middle "box" section can't be long and thin or tall or really anything but a square with different sorts of doodads hanging off of it. I'd love to see the boxes dictate where the different other elements attached and at what angles. You'd get lots more variety.

Also, since you have modular ship design, why can't players take their ships to the shipbuilder and modularly design their ships???
