All that jumping is completely unnecessary. Just sparrow glitch through the gate.

I went back there all the time during the Alpha... Guess I haven't tried to go back since then, because i didn't even know they had blocked the area off.

A few months ago I was able to select and replay that first mission with a leveled character. Some kind of menu glitch I think.

Me and Kermit were just there today. Here a postcard of us. I took a screen shot of him taking a screen shot of me.

Edit: I think he used the sparrow trick to get through the gate. I joined in after he was already there. But sadly my ship didn't fly over and drop me in.
