Set my fan on slowest speed, and tape a yardstick slightly off center. Staple string to yardstick. Tie string around left thumbstick.

You'll have to fiddle with your controller at least once every hour to avoid being disconnected for idling.

In the past, hanging out in orbit during the weekly reset and switching armor or joining somebody in the tower kept you IB level allowing you to buy everything on that character and focusing on another one during the event. I noticed when bungie posted the start time of 10 am for next week's IB and scratched my head a bit. Looks like some people over on reddit thought the same. They even came up with some convoluted solutions around the 8 hour difference. Don't know how y'all feel abut the glitch but it seems like bungie found out a simple go around w/o changing code.

Won't stop me, I'll just stay in orbit then go to the tower at 10! I not want to grind iron banner for a helmet.

If you can stomach the lag, you should be allowed to keep your rep in IB. I hit 5 the first time and when it reset for the second one I went 'nope, not doing that again.'
