In what universe, is a shotgun blast 10 feet away from a person NOT fatal?

Okay, it is still not like the real thing, but it is closer.

It is probably the closest one in the games I've played, so I'd agree.

But yeah, Shotguns in videogames....past 5-10 feet the pellets or slug just disappears, apparently.

As they are in EVERY videogame, really. (reply)

When they're wearing advanced space armor with shields. I'm more amazed that round shot (it sure isn't lead shot) gets any penetration against futuristic body armor.

Invective is full auto (4 round mag, but whatever). Also, you can get random roll shotties with full auto as well.

But you're right - Shotties in Destiny are terrible compared to actual shotguns in real life.

Every shotgun I've come across is pump-action. While technically superior and more combat friendly, I'd love to see some legendary or exotic break-action shotguns to mix it up a bit. It seems like most of the other weapon types have extreme variations (Suros vs Atheon for example).

Ideally it would have a large impact, decent distance, but slow reload. Perhaps have an ammo regen perk if you score a precision kill?
