I'm going to be starting my second Hunter on Xbox tonight and leveling it up all night/tomorrow morning. I should be ready to do the weekly heroic sometime tomorrow and would love to do it with one or more of y'all.

On a related note, if anyone wants to run through story missions with me so I can do it on the higher difficulties and level up faster, I would love you forever.

We did it!! After starting a fresh hunter at about 5pm yesterday, and playing for about 5 hours yesterday and another 6 today -- I hit level 20 at about 5:30 pm. I then quickly threw on my gear from my other (lvl 30) Hunter and we did the Weekly Heroic strike. I am now the proud owner of an Icebreaker! (Well, technically it was my fourth Icebreaker, but my first on Xbox which is the important part).

HUGE thanks to Squid and his friend SA Assassin, Kermit, and ESPECIALLY Stabbim (who was carrying me almost the entire way from 1 through 20 and the Weekly).

Just can't remember which one, I'm like 90% sure it was TLW 1.0

On topic: am I wrong in thinking TLW 1.0 had the perk "this gun fires as fast as you can pull the trigger" which means you could trigger finger it faster than the full auto? Or this another gun with this perk?

I've just been pulling the trigger like a madman, assuming it was semi-auto. I didn't realize I didn't need to.

I can't look at it and not feel the need to fan trigger.

It's special perks are very game changing in close combat but, Thorn 2.0 fully upgraded has lingering damage AND a 9 clip, that 1 bullet makes all the difference in the long run, the sights for thorn > TLW sights as well.

I think I'll vault TLW till I get XBL back and run it in the crux.

It looks like Xur has never offered a level 32 upgrade for Ice Breaker, is that correct? I would like to save the 17 coins . . . but if there is no chance of upgrading later then I will probably just cough up now.

He had it before and he'll have it again, so if it we're me in this situation, I'd hold off.

A 300dmg IB is still REALLY useful, and is capable of stun locking phogoth and other large enemies, for example.

The small clip size is a factor, especially since you can fire so quickly. You have to really try to avoid certain encounters (granted, those encounters should be avoided normally anyways). I have a pair of gauntlets that increases reload speed of hand cannons that I use when running with it.

That all being said, I'm seeing a lot of upgraded Thorns doing a lot of damage in the IB this week. The lasting damage effect is particularly effective.

Yeah, it's been a pretty shit week. I should be around this weekend. Dunno how I feel about Iron Banner though (my patience is thin from aforementioned shit week).

None of us had 30's besides T1g3r so we just ran regular crucible. Might try again tomorrow afternoon.
