This should be stated to avoid frustration going in:

As of now, if you do not have at least one level 31 character, the raid is ostensibly impossible to complete. Not difficult. Not 'you can do it if you're really good'. Not 'you can cheese it', but impossible. I feel as if Bungie made a mistake in listing this as 30 activity, since it seems pretty crappy a group of 30s can go in and not be able to finish a level 30 activity. It is not like the Vault of Glass.

I managed not to read your spoilers, but can I just say that you need to match the background if you want to hide them. Wonder if the DBO admins can add the background color or add a spoiler button?

Also we should have some 31's, if Xur wills it.

Crota can only be damaged one way, and his enrage timer is so short that a level 30 character simply cannot kill him before he enrages. The only way to do it is with the damage output of a 31.
