I like the history of the Colt SAA. I saw this post on Facebook and was thinking about the engravings on The Last Word. I started looking for similarities and ran across that article. Yeah, I do like it a lot. :P

I know the in-story origin, but I wonder if this was the inspiration for the name. From the April 1929 issue of American Rifleman. The Last Word: Colt Single Action Army.
