Sometimes I'll be patrolling in the 'drome, Mothyards area, and see a Level 3 trying to get to the next mission. I usually tag along to see they get there.

At least up to the Darkness Zone.

Bungie, please, please, please allowing joining without going to orbit and back. I'm sure there are technical challenges with this, but in the game it just seems silly.

My favorite moment so far is bluerunner joining my fireteam, "GUYS YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST GOT I WAS GOING TO QUIT FOR THE NIGHT THEN PLAYED ONE MORE GAME AND HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP" and then promptly spent the next half hour shooting The Last Word, targets or no. Man, you were so happy. Awesome.

Then last night I run Weekly Strike with Lawnmower and yakaman. Yakaman scores a Legendary Engram, so before I quit, I run us back to the Tower to see what he gets. Boom. Sunbreakers. More happiness.

So, I spent that Weekly Strike getting my ass handed to me on the regular, with Mac and Lawnmower doing most of the heavy lifting...and BAM exotic gauntlets and a legendary helmet. During the Raid with Mac et al last week, I got 2 items: a Legendary set of armor and an exotic Fusion Rifle.

Here's my own pro tip: play with SonOfMacPhisto - it's good for the soul (and loot).

I've lurked on these (DBO, HBO) forums for over 10 years, and that raid was the first time I ever played with fellow forum goers. My recommendation to any others like me, that lurk here but shy away from jumping into these arranged game nights: GET IN THERE!

Congrats to him. That was the first exotic I got, and still my favorite in terms of doing something interesting. I like exotics that bend the normal rules.

I would imagine it probably did, but I don't have the data to say. In any case, it was never a scout rifle to start with. I doubt the difference will be very noticeable.

I was spinmetal/chest farming in the tank area of Cosmodrome. Some ass clown kept shooting at me so I went over to him and was gonna start spamming him with nades and rockets just to irritate back. Turns out he realized I was farming as he was and he was trying to point out he had found a chest. We ended up helping each other farm by covering different areas and then pointing to the loot or dancing. Really sped up the process and even though we couldn't chat it was a ton of fun.

Lil' Blue got Universal Remote after finishing the nightfall strike last night. He got up and started doing all the Destiny dances.

Did Universal Remote's range get nerfed by the shotgun patch on the new hotfix? Curious as it's a weapon I've been trying to get for a while.

Edit: oh yeah, and when you guys put up with my terrible play it makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Most of the fun comes from helping others complete the nightfall and heroic challenges.

Spec op grunt and I completed them both last night and were rewarded with some exotic weapons for our troubles

He got "Plan C" and I got "MIDA Multi-tool", which is a gun I really wanted :P

I felt bad for his brother though- he didn't get shit haha

I snagged myself a Pike in the Forgotten Shore the other night, and after tooling around on it for about 40 minutes I decided to go to bed.

But not before spending 20 minutes finding a level 4 with 150 Grimoire and giving it to him. I cant say for certain, but I like to imagine he enjoyed my gift. Made my night.
