DBO Forums - So I just got to Rank 3 in Iron Banner. *rant* https://destiny.bungie.org/forum/ Bungie.Org talks Destiny en So I just got to Rank 3 in Iron Banner. *rant* (reply) Honestly, I did it because I thought I could get some Hunter gauntlets for only ten Crucible marks so I'd be better equipped for tonight's Raid (I still only have Rare-tier gauntlets and I don't have quite enough marks for to buy a gauntlet from the sellers in the tower). I wouldn't have done it had I known there wouldn't be any real guaranteed benefit to getting to Rank 3 besides a chest armor (I already have good chest armor) and a machine gun (I already have two good machine guns). It's the last time I participate in any of these limited-time events, because it seems like a lot of effort for little benefit. I don't mind regular Crucible, but Iron Banner sucked.

(reply) They can't give you all the armor during the event in fear you won't play it next time. I mean if you could buy everything now you would have no rewards to play for. I'm sure if you hit rank 6 the next time they run the event you will be able to get gloves if your lucky they might throw in another gun.

Don't worry though if you want to hit light level 30 it don't matter anyway.

After busting my ass in a mode I would really rather not play in, I finally got to Rank 3 in Iron Banner, and lo and behold, not a damn thing changed in what Lord Saladin is offering. What. The. Actual. Fuck? Just a chest armor and a machine gun. Really? Really? What have I been doing wrong? What do I need to do to get other stuff to show up? I leveled up so I wouldn't have to spend a fortune in Crucible marks for armor and weapons. What gives?

You know that machine gun is insane right?

That being said, if you need legendary armor or a heavy machine gun, the IB ones only cost 10 marks each, compared to 65 for armor from other vendors and 150 for weapons.

Still, if you got to rank 3 already, you probably don't need those items.
