Anyway, thanks for the tip--I went in and knocked it out. Took about an hour.

Didn't get any strange coins, though. Just a legendary shotgun.

I just soloed the Weekly Heroic and Nightfall strikes. Netted a total of 19 strange coins. You should try that :-p This week is easy to solo.

19+ the 4 you have = exotic weapon for you tomorrow!

(I will admit figuring out how to solo these strikes is pretty fun)

How did you get the other 10? You don't by default get any from the Nightfall.

9 from Heroic. 10 from Nightfall.

Right, Spec Ops answered my question though. You aren't guaranteed to get 10 Strange Coins from Nightfall, it's just up to the RNG.

You know that last update? It wasn't for what they said it was. I used to stand in that rock arch and shoot the boss in the face until he died. He couldn't get through the opening.

But on Tuesday he did! I think the geometry was changed because Bungie is watching me and is thwarting my strats ;-)

You can snipe from outside the range of danger for most of the level, and there is an easy spot to cheese the boss.

I solo'd the weekly heroic - at its lowest difficulty level - last night. I found it really hard, but fun to solo.

I don't think I could handle it at level 28 (the current Nightfall level). I also don't think I'd have enough time to finish it even if I COULD do it. :)

I'm up to 8, though - I got one from the Cryptarch in a level upgrade (!!) - so I'm well on my way - maybe next week! :)

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Sure, the guy is going back up the wall, and then coming back down or whatever...but basically, all he's doing is putting distance between himself and the enemy, and making sure he's safe while he does it, until the enemy chills or he feels safe again.

Nobody can just run out into the middle of the field and drop all the Captains, Elder Shanks and Elder Vandals GUNS BLAZING and handle everybody hitting them all at once...so using cover, switching positions...that's just tactics.

It's like running back up the hallway in the Summoning Pits where you have to wait at the door for 3 waves. It's an option that's available to you. Bungie could have dropped a door there when you activate your Ghost...or they could have made the cliff too high for a player to get back up...instead they opted to do neither...and leave it as a tactical option for a player.

This doesn't sound like fun. Sure, you get a bunch of coins to buy the newest coolest thing, but bleh. I'm even one of those guys who plays the game mostly alone too. Heck, I used to see how much content I could do in WoW as a solo druid just for fun.

The nightfall strike and the raid just are better with people.
