changing the ship does nothing. Sometimes requires a hard boot of the console, both PS4 and Xbone.

Probably a caching problem, but whatever, you obviously know more about it. No fun escapes your gaze.

Also works if you're using a special edition ship, and then play on a platform where you don't have the special edition.

That works, but I think there are other ways. I seem to trigger it sometimes by being in a menu when the NLS / Orbital Entry animation starts. Probably something with bringing up the menu at just the right time so it decides not to draw the ship...
