Your joke was legitimately funny, but my sentences have a habit of being parsed wrong, which is probably my fault, which you have just reminded me of.

I blame the fact that I added the "under their breath" part as an after-thought immediately after posting it.

Misplaced modifiers are my favorite grammar mistakes because they usually paint such interesting mental images. :)

I think it's more like, gun descriptions are canon, but gun locations and owners are not. After all, if they were, there wouldn't be multiple instances of the same "one of a kind" gun/gear.
