I sprint everywhere, never once remember I have a vehicle I can spawn on demand, and grab a vehicle almost every chance I get and proceed to try to do maximum damage with it.

I do that all the time. Those two seconds you save help you set up a defense at the capture points. Works a good 80% of the time. Usually I can go back and take the Pike back. Nobody ever grabs it.
