The only thing I can't solo is the raid. You COULD solo strikes if you want, but that's really less fun. I play tons of missions alone.

The other side of this coin is why I think the story missions and Strikes are bland, they have to support single player/dropped users.

One of my favorites, Payday 2, has brilliant objectives. Lots of randomized world and enemy placements and events and is almost useless single player (But they don't stop you from trying).

But I getcha. At level 26 my single player fun is limited to solo MM in the crucible (Which isn't really single player I guess, I consider everyone else to be human controlled AI!), grinding bounties in Strike MM (Again, only solo if you don't think of the others as human!) hunting materials in Patrol. I love the first, cool on the second and hate the latter.

Yeah, absolutely. I played all of the story missions alone, and they need some serious changes to be up to snuff, IMO. Like I've said before, I'm hoping they'll work on a dedicated story campaign in future titles, instead of just reusing the same areas.

I would definitely play strikes and raids alone if I could, but they are understandably not made for that. For some reason, the game threw me into a strike alone one time. It was extremely difficult, but I was making progress until the bosses, which were just impossible for a single player. Plus, playing them alone would be just as boring as the story missions are alone.

The one change that would improve things for me in the short term is adding a matchmaking option for every activity, not just strikes and competitive.

I'm right there with you, man. It's hard getting people together to do something like the raid. I'd like some lengthy and interesting solo missions because I know when I'm ready to do it. And if not that, maybe some more matchmaking missions that aren't just Strikes.

Why not ask people to keep a lower level set of armor in their inventory so you can change and be in the same level when you play together?

Yep. I might feel not feel as strongly about it if I could play whatever with anyone on my friends list at any time. Maybe when everyone (including myself) is in the high 20s level-wise, my frustration will dissipate.

Totally with you man. I understand that the Raid is designed for multiple people, and I'm cool with that. I just wish the rest of the game had the gameplay depth that the Raid does, and that so much high level stuff didn't require multiple people.

A "Raid" that supported solo play would probably have to be designed in a way that's fundamentally astronomically different from how Raids are actually designed. You don't wish you could solo Raid, you wish there were highly-challenging lengthy solo missions.
