I'd call that a honest-to-goodness fair game review, instead of a rushed collection of premature impressions, or a commentary on the hype, the gaming industry, the disconnect between the game and the reviewer's misshapen or misapplied expectations, or a myopic treatise focusing on whatever bête noire seems to be the most important factor in reaching a verdict today.
