I'm not wanting to burn anyone at the stake. Someone is at fault here, but the reality is we don't (and probably won't ever) know all the details. Let not buy into the polarization the internet loves. Let's wait till we find out the truth before jumping to conclusions.

Can anyone comment on the significance of Marty suing Ryan, an individual, as opposed to Bungie? Is it typical to sue the head of a company for unpaid benefits rather than the company itself?

11. Separate and apart from the conduct alleged herein, O’Donnell has separate grievances against Bungie and Ryan that are being pursued in arbitration. If it is determined that the claims O’Donnell asserts against Ryan in arbitration are not subject to arbitration, then O’Donnell reserves the right to amend this Complaint to include those additional claims in this action.

There's more here, so I'd say yes Ryan being named is meaningful.

It's a cliche, but the phrase "how did it come to this?" comes to mind.
Hopefully settled out of court and quickly, letting both camps focus on moving forward and being positive.

I'd love some level of reconciliation, it's hard to separate Bungie and Marty in my mind.
