Little Bit of Destiny News

Not a lot, but Christian Diefenbach of Bungie explains why they decided Destiny would be a shooter.

Bungie has been avoiding the term MMO, but I hope it's a little more RPG-er than Borderlands. With such a big focus on customization, I hope that comes with some heavier RPG elements - stats, the RPG trinity, etc. This article gives me the feeling that is not the direction it will be going. Seems that the gear will be the source of stats/abilities (save for the Traveler's powers the Guardians will have). Also, since the races are only cosmetic differences, it adds to the not-as-heavy-in-RPG-elements feeling.

Some of this may have been covered in earlier interviews/ViDocs, but I can't recall.

EDIT: words.
