Yeah... focus on the first letter of each word of that "report from Paladin Oran" in Petra's response...!

It's a bummer if this is how they're delivering the motivation for the first two story missions (as per the GI coverage with regards to chasing down Fikrul). But it is pretty consistent with Bungie's approach to our character's initial motivations across all story content.

But also, if Illyn is alive, doesn't that pretty much confirm that the queen could be communicating as well, and just... doesn't?

So for those that are going blind, I'm totally being a jerk right now.
For those that watched it...was my reaction appropriate? You know what I'm talking about.

It may single-handedly spark a hint of respect for Bungie from my end if it's the case, and not just a one-off moment.

And it opens up the door for them to retroactively fix the awkward silences. They definitely left themselves windows of opportunity to do so.
